Gigolo refers to a man who is hired to have a sexual relationship with a woman and receives financial support from her. Gigolo is also defined as a male who provides companionship and sexual gratification on a continuing basis to a woman in exchange for money.

- Gilles de la Tourette syndrome : Gilles de la Tourette syndrome is defined as a tic disorder defined by multiple involuntary motor and vocal tics. The disorder appears familial in origin. The cause is unclear, but dysfunction of the basal ganglia has been implicated.

Ginglymus joint refers to a type of joint which permits a wide range of movement in only one plane, as in the elbow, ankle, and knee joints.

- Giordano Bruno (1548-1600) : Giordano Bruno accepted the mystical non-Christian philosophy of Hermetism and Copernicus's Heliocentric Theory because he mistakenly believed that it supported Hermetism. He was burned at the stake for his beliefs.

- Giovanni Lancisi (1654 to 1720) : Giovanni Lancisi refers to the Italian clinician who contributed greatly to the knowledge of aneurysm, the abnormal blood-filled ballooning of an artery in the brain.
Giovanni Pico (1463 - 1494) maintained that humans, unlike angels and animals, are capable of changing themselves and the world. Pico believed that all philosophical positions should be respected and the common elements among them sought.
Gist of a scene is defined as the general description of a scene. People can identify most scenes after viewing them for only a fraction of a second, as when they flip rapidly from one TV channel to another.

Given information refers to information that the speaker assumes the listener already knows.
