Counterfeiting refers to the fraudulent reproduction of original documents/instruments in a manner that enables the fraudster to pass them off as genuine/original items.
Counterirritation refers to a pain control technique that involves inhibiting pain in one part of the body by stimulating or mildly irritating another area, sometimes adjacent to the area in which the pain is experienced; a process by which we may try to reduce pain by itching or poking a point on our skin around where the pain is felt.
Likewise, Counterirritation is the use of mild pain to block more intense or long-lasting pain.
Counterregulation refers to the "what the heck" effect that occurs when people indulge in a behavior they are trying to regulate after initial regulation failure.
Countertransference refers to conscious or unconscious emotional response of the therapist to the patient; determined by the therapist's inner needs, rather than by the patient's needs, and may reinforce the patient's earlier traumatic history if not checked by the therapist.
Couple/ marital Therapy refers to the form of psychotherapy to try and sort out marriage or relationship problems.
Coupled reactions is the linking of energy-liberating chemical reactions to "drive " energy-requiring reactions.
Couples therapy refers to a form of psychotherapy in which a couple whether married, unmarried, or same-sex meets with one or more therapists/clinicians to work on any number of issues.
