Epinephrine refers to a hormone produced by the Adrenal glands that is released into the bloodstream in response to Stress in Order to energize and prepare the body for a possible threat.

Epiphany in psychology refers to a sudden, profound realisation or insight that often leads to a shift in understanding, perception, or behaviour. This moment of clarity can occur in response to a problem, internal conflict, or a transformative life event and is frequently associated with personal growth or resolution of long-standing dilemmas.

Epiphenomenalism refers to the form of emergentism that states that mental events emerge from brain activity but that mental events are subsequently behaviorally irrelevant.

Epiphenomenon is defined as a secondary phenomenon, one resulting from another. Likewise, it is defined as an additional symptom appearing during the course of an illness, but not necessarily related to it.

Epiphyseal closure is defined as the process by which the cartilage that separates the long end (Epiphysis) of a bone from the main part of the bone turns to bone.
Epiphysis is defined as the end of a long bone, often enlarged and shaped to join the Epiphysis of an adjacent bone, formed from cancellous or trabecular bone.

Episiotomy is defined as a surgical incision in the area between the birth canal and the anus that widens the vaginal opening that prevents random tearing during childbirth. It is a cut made with surgical scissors to avoid tearing of the perineum at the end of the second stage of labor.
