Open kinetic chain

Open kinetic chain is when the distal end of an extremity is not fixed to any surface, allowing any one joint in the extremity to move or function separately without necessitating movement of other joints in the extremity.

Open-circuit spirometry refers to indirect calorimetry procedure in which either inspired or expired ventilation is measured and oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production are calculated.

Open-class word

Open-class word refers to a word, such as a noun, a verb, or an adjective, that plays a primary role in the meaning of a sentence. Open-class words, moreover is a word from the categories of noun, verb, adjective, adverb which is labeled "open class" because new nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs can readily be coined and added to the language. Open-ended interview

Open-ended interview refers to an interview in which persons are allowed to freely state their views.

Open-ended question

Open-ended question refers to a survey question that allows respondents to freely structure their answers. In interviewing, Open-ended question is a question that often cannot be answered specifically. Such questions require the interviewee to produce something spontaneously.

Open-mindedness

Open-mindedness means freedom from fixed preconceptions and an attitude of open receptivity to what the client is expressing. Open-mindedness is one of the eight (8) critical attitudes.
