Congenital defect refers to a defect which is existing at or before birth, acquired at birth or during uterine. It is developmental, as a result of either hereditary or environmental influences. Congenital defects are problems that is present, though not necessarily apparent, at birth; such defects may stem from genetic and prenatal influences or from complications of the birth process.

Congenital problems refers to problems or defects that originate during prenatal development in the womb.

Congenital syphilis refers to a syphilis infection acquired by an infant from the mother during pregnancy; a syphilis infection in a newborn baby resulting from transmission from an infected mother.
Congestive heart failure refers to a condition occurring when cardiac output and the ability of the heart to contract severely decline, making the heart enlarge, increasing pressure to the veins, and making the body swell.
According to Carl Rogers congruence refers to the match between an individual’s inner feelings and outer display.

Congruence model is a term used in Kahana’s model which is the notion that people need to find the environment in which they fit and that meets their needs the best.
