Collective effort model (CEM)

- Collective effort model (CEM) : Collective effort model (CEM) refers to a theoretical explanation of group productivity developed by Steven Karau and Kipling Williams that traces losses of productivity in groups to diminished expectations about successful goal attainment and the diminished value of group goals.

Collective information processing model

Collective information processing model refers to a general theoretical explanation of group decision making assuming that groups use communication and discussion among members to gather and process the information needed to formulate decisions, choices, and judgments.

Collective memory

Collective memory is a group ’s combined memories, including each member’s memories, the group’s shared mental models, and transactive memory systems.

Collective monologues

Collective monologues are egocentric exchanges between two (2) or more children with participants talking "with" one another, but not necessarily "to" one another, such that what one child says has little to do with the comments of the other. Collective monologue is a type of pseudo-conversation engaged in by pre-school children. The children take turns speaking, but each speaker's contribution to the conversation has little to do with the content of what other speakers are saying.

Collective movement refers to a large aggregation of individuals, widely dispersed across space and time, who strive to attain common goals, interests, or aspirations.

Collective self-esteem

Collective self -esteem refers to a person's overall assessment of that portion of their self-concept that is based on their relationships with others and membership in social groups.
