Primary process thinking is a term in psychoanalytic theory that is loosely associated, idiosyncratic, and distorted cognitive representation of the world.
Primary qualities refer to attributes of physical objects, such as size, shape, number, position, and movement or rest.
Primary receiving areas refer to the areas of the cerebral cortex that first receive most of the signals initiated by a sense’s receptors. The Occipital cortex is the site of the primary receiving area for vision, for example and the Temporal lobe is the site of the Primary receiving area for hearing.
Primary reinforcers refer to rewards that satisfy a biological need, making them intrinsically rewarding.
Primary Research refers to Research characterized by original and direct investigation.
