Prelinguistic phase refers to the period before children utter or say their first meaningful words.

Premack principle

Premack principle which is also known as "Grandma's rule," refers to the contingency management technique in which a behavior is reinforced by allowing the individual to engage in a more attractive activity once the target behavior is completed. Premack principle is the notion that a high-probability behavior can be used to reinforce a low-probability behavior; the idea that reinforcement is relative both within an individual and between individuals.

Premature may refer to those babies born before the full term of gestation. Premature is also referred to as Preterm.
