Prefrontal cortex is the region at the front of the brain important in language, emotional expression, the planning and producing of new ideas, and the mediation of social interactions; anterior portion of the frontal lobe of the cortex, which responds mostly to the sensory stimuli that signal the need for a movement Moreover, Prefrontal cortex is the region in the frontal lobe that is involved with executive functioning; the very front of the frontal lobes; involved in sense of self, reasoning, and planning.

Prefrontal Lobotomy refers to a type of Psychosurgery in which the frontal lobes of the brain are severed from the lower centers of the brain in people suffering from Psychosis. Prefrontal Lobotomy, moreover, is an operation that severs the nerve fibers that connect the brain's frontal lobe to the thalamus which is performed on individuals with severe mental disorders that have not responded to other treatments.

Prefrontal motor cortex is the section of the frontal lobe. This area is considered to be the "conductor" or "executor" of the brain. Prefrontal motor cortex is also called Prefrontal cortex.
